Gordon Moody currently offers residential treatment for men aged 18 and above at locations across the UK. The programme is the same at all sites and is delivered by therapists and support staff who are experts in gambling addiction.
Gordon Moody also opened an innovative residential treatment centre specifically for women gamblers in 2021.

We may require some additional information from you before a final decision is made but rest assured we will respond to your enquiry quickly and keep you updated with how your application is going.
Once our team has made its decision, we will contact you to either offer you a place on our waiting list or to signpost you to other gambling treatment options.
Once accepted on our waiting list you’ll be offered pre-treatment support through one-to-one calls with our trained staff, as well as facilitated peer support virtual groups with others who are on the waiting list for treatment.
These are safe spaces for you to ask questions about what lies ahead and to share your hopes, fears and expectations for your future journey with us and beyond.
This is the first step in tackling your gambling addiction together and will help you to get used to speaking in groups before you enter treatment. Sharing experiences will play a big part in your recovery and help to keep you on track as your journey through treatment progresses.

In your first fortnight our staff and fellow residents in treatment will help you to settle in, slow down and make you feel a part of the therapeutic community that lies at the heart of all you will do.
The knowledge that you are not alone and working as part of a team to tackle and ultimately overcome your gambling addiction is a powerful feeling. This fortnight is your opportunity to see whether residential treatment is going to suit you and allows the staff team to ensure our programme is the right one for you.
Once on the programme, you will work closely with the whole staff team as we work with you to build your own “road map” into recovery.
With support from your assigned therapist you’ll create an action plan for the areas you wish to work over the following 12 weeks. The goals you set yourself here will be reviewed every four weeks and will continue to be looked at throughout your time in treatment and beyond to help you keep focused on yourself and your recovery even after completing the programme.
You will do both one-to-one work and group sessions between Monday and Saturday.
Saturday afternoons are reserved for activities off-site and give you an opportunity to explore the local area and try new things or perhaps rekindle old passions. Sunday is a day to relax but also to get prepared and focussed for the week ahead.

There is an overall cost for your stay with Gordon Moody but, if you are eligible for state benefits, then you may have almost your entire treatment costs met through Housing Benefit payments. You will still be liable for a small weekly personal service charge of around £10.
If you are working and will be taking time off work to come into treatment, you could be eligible to go onto Statutory Sick Pay, where a portion of your rent may then be paid through Housing Benefit.

No. We need every resident to be fully focussed on their treatment, so contact with outside organisations is restricted.
Phone and internet access will be allowed at certain times. However, to allow people to focus on their recovery programme access is scheduled in through staff agreement.
Yes. We’re always happy to facilitate people conducting worship and religious observance.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow visitors while you are in the residential treatment programme. However, phone calls home to family and children are scheduled in for residents.
The aim of the programme is to allow residents to step away from the obligations and pressures of their day-to-day life and create an environment where they can focus on their recovery with other residents.
